Our Story
About Post 162
Proudly serving veterans and the Green Forest community for generations.
Our Mission
For God and Country
The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. Post 162 carries that mission forward right here in Green Forest, Arkansas — honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans while strengthening the bonds of our community.
We are committed to veterans advocacy, youth programs, community service, and the preservation of the values that make America great. Every member of Post 162 is part of a family that looks out for one another and gives back to the place we call home.
